Josh Adam Klinghoffer is an American musician best known for being a former guitarist of the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers from 2009 to 2019, with whom he recorded two studio albums, I'm with You and The Getaway, and the B- side plank, I'm beside you. Klinghoffer replaced his friend and regular collaborator, John Frusciante in 2009, after a stint as a touring member. Klinghoffer was introduced into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2012, becoming the person introduced at the youngest Hall of Fame at the age of 32, surpassing Stevie Wonder, who was 38 years old when introduced . He was overtaken by Nine Inch Nails member Ilan Rubin in 2020. Klinghoffer is also the head of the replacement rock band Dot Hacker, a group that includes former members of Gnarls Barkley. He is also a former member of the group Ataxia, Warpaint and The Bicycle Thief. Klinghoffer often plays guitar or drums, and sings and leads.
